EVOLUTION OF THE AMERICAN ROCKER
Tracing its roots from 1960’s East London and the legendary “59 club”, Rocker motorcycle culture has drawn from American music and fashion, to British rebellion and counter-culture. Caffeine & Gasoline: Evolution of the American Rocker explores this early history, and the growing modern “Cafe Racer” movement, while following the stories of Iraq War Veteran and modern American Rocker, Thaison Garcia, world renowned architect and vintage motorcycle collector, Antoine Predock, founder of the world-wide female motorcycle club “The Litas”, Jessica Hagget and stunt free-style rider, Ernie “eDub” Vigil.

Garcia, the son of an immigrant family, struggled to find his way through a low-income childhood in Northern California, but drew strength and inspiration from vintage culture, and ultimately served in the middle East as a Marine. Through his story, Caffeine & Gasoline draws parallel between the historical struggle of post World War II British soldiers and Garcia’s “American Me” struggle of finding cultural identity in an immigrant’s world of poverty, drug-dealing, and rigid family values.
